Ninety-nine years ago today, the skeletons of a boy and girl were unearthed in the "badlands" of New Mexico near San Rafael. It was believed they had been buried in a prehistoric volcanic eruption.
The following story appeared in the Cincinnati Enquirer on April 1, 1920.
The skeletons, in a good state of preservation were found in a white stone house. a sheep owner made the discovery last week.
